Retiree Working Group welcomes volunteers from all unions for upcoming phone banks

MINNEAPOLIS —The Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation’s Retiree Working Group has set its schedule for election phone banks through the end of October. Retirees from all unions are invited to volunteer.

Along with support for labor’s endorsed candidates, the Working Group will work to defeat the so-called Voter ID amendment on the November ballot.

Retiree Working Group phone banks will take place through October on the second and last Thursdays of the month.

Here is the phone bank schedule:

• Thursday, August 30, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

• Thursday, September 13,  1:00-4:00 p.m.

• Thursday, September 27, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

• Thursday, October 11, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

• Thursday, October 25, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

All phone banks will take place at the MRLF offices at the United Labor Centre, 312 Central Ave., Minneapolis.
