August 10:
Mark your calendar for new, earlier date for Minnesota's statewide primary election
From the Minneapolis Labor Review, June 18, 2010
ST. PAUL — Minnesota’s statewide primary election will be Tuesday, August 10.
The legislature and governor approved moving the primary election to August from September to comply with a federal law aimed at allowing more time for military voters stationed overseas to vote by absentee ballot.
Any voter who may be out of town August 10 can vote by absentee ballot in the primary election.
For more information on the primary election or voting by absentee ballot, contact your county auditor or county elections office or the Minnesota Secretary of State at 651-215-1440 (in the metro area) or 1-877-600-8683 (in greater Minnesota) or visit www.sos.state.mn.us.
