MLRF endorses three for Monticello school board

MONTICELLO — Three candidates for Monticello school board have won endorsement from the Wright County Labor Council and the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, AFL-CIO. The candidates are Scott Hill, Elizabeth “Liz” Leitch-Sell and Robbie Smith.
Hill is a two-term incumbent seeking a third term, while Leitch-Sell is a one-term incumbent seeking a second term.
Smith is a former Monticello planning commission member and former Monticello city council member.
Five candidates are seeking election to the school board’s three at-large seats.
The Wright County Labor Council interviewed Hill, Leitch-Sell and Smith and recommended their endorsement as the candidates who will put students first and bring the best experience to lead the district.
School board candidate forum: October 28
The Monticello Chamber of Commerce will host a Monticello school board candidate forum Wednesday, October 28 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Monticello Community Center, 505 Walnut St., Monticello.
