MRLF booth welcomed union members at Game Fair
RAMSEY — For the sixth year running, the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation and participating unions hosted a booth for union members who visit the annual Game Fair in Anoka County. The event draws tens of thousands of visitors. The MRLF’s North Suburban Advisory Council began hosting a booth at Game Fair each year as a way to reach out to the many union members who attend. This year Game Fair ran August 6-8 and August 13-15. The MRLF Game Fair booth featured a drawing for union members only, with a chance to win one of three union-made firearms or a GPS. Volunteers at the MRLF’s Game Fair booth August 14 included (left to right): Dick Kentzelman, Bricklayers Local 1; Andy Smoka, Minnesota Association of Professional Employees Local 14; Ginny Gook, SEIU Healthcare Minnesota; Paul Klesmit, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 292.
